The Elizabeth Cady Stanton Womens Consortium was formally introduced to the community on November 12, 2006, the first official Elizabeth Cady Stanton New York State Recognition Day.

The Consortium is dedicated to providing a forum for discussion of and steadfastly supports women's education, history, culture, leadership and equity through a variety of activities. The Elizabeth Cady Stanton Womens Consortium is supported by women's groups including the American Association of University Women, Soroptimist International, the Womens Republican Club of Fulton County, GFWC Century Club of Amsterdam, Women Democrats, FM Women Faculty members, Eclectic Society of Johnstown, Elizabeth Cady Stanton Hometown Association and the Girl Scouts of North Eastern New York.

The idea for the Consortium was a direct result of the success of the first Womens Symposium in March, 2006.

The members of the Consortium look forward to furthering the ideals and objectives of this remarkable woman and Johnstown native.  We encourage any womens organizations whose objectives align with the mission of the Consortium to join us.  If you would like more information on the Consortium please contact Helen Martin at 518 762-7638 or by email at
